These Yaesha puzzles suck!
They're all convoluted and give you no useful information to actually solve them.

This is how you DON'T make puzzles in video games.

This game is designed for you to put a lot of time into it. The puzzles aren't supposed to be easy to solve. But as you found out, if you just want the loot you can look up the solutions.
that "book" doesn't explain ♥♥♥♥. You and a teammate have to step on your respective "spot" at the same time i unison. The "book" does next to nothing to explain that.

these puzzle are so ass, they are worse then puzzle that require the player to "can you guess what I'm (the puzzle master) is thinking".

There's logic puzzles, abstract logic puzzles, and then this crap.
I'm guessing you hate puzzle box's, too? Literally same exact concept.

Not to mention the invisible walkway puzzle (: Nothing nearby explains it and the symbols on the floor don't mean ♥♥♥♥. Friend and I fell to our deaths about 15 times because we were jumping from platform to platform (game forcing us to roll after landing and getting us killed.)
The symbols tell you what pillar to step on, though. Sure, nothing tells you about invisible floors but surely you can beat a "one of these things aren't like the others" game.

You can do the pressure plate/secret room puzzle solo, it's just much more difficult. As has been said, all of the other puzzles require reading a nearby book for clues and some thinking on the player's side of the screen.

Kids these days really aren't interested in thinking or problem solving, as evidenced by these complaints about "bad design"

No. It's trial and error, that's not a puzzle.

No. It's trial and error, that's not a puzzle.
That's exactly a puzzle. You don't buy a puzzle and it tell you what order to put the pieces in, you don't buy a puzzle box and it tell you what the next steps are, or even the first. The hints that games give to players, for puzzles inside them, are literally gamers being spoiled. They're being given an easier time than the actual puzzle should be. Don't get me wrong, Many puzzles should be, in games, otherwise it would take too much time, such as the music puzzles, but not every puzzle should be.
