Report a translation problem
The story includes multiple timelines and universes. Just as root Earth isn't the same world as the one the MC is from, there are allusions to some people being from different versions of the Earth that the people you come across are from. It isn't difficult to say "this version got ruined in the 60's, but that version didn't have the root appear until the 90's" etc.
I wouldn't say it's a retcon as much as a small plot hole that could be filled quite easily with the tools that are already present in universe
You will find plenty of dialogue that will fill you in on the things that happened in the 2 previous games.
I think I'll pick up this game and give it a go.
Don't need to play it for Remnant 2 but honestly R1 is such a good game. R2 I'd get on sale.
I agree. Remnant 1 is easily the better game IMO.
I share the same opinion, R1 also felt like it had a lot more replay-ability too. I ended there with like 600-700 Talent/Trait points to spend. Here, once my groups done with R2 apoc we may never return.
