Stuttering Fix: Change this setting if you have stuttering on a high end PC
Go to your NVIDIA Control Panel > Configure Surround, PhysX, then look at your PhysX settings and make sure its set to "GPU" and not "AUTO (GPU)" or "CPU".

I always had high FPS but stuttering due to high CPU usage because this setting was set to "AUTO (GPU)". Since I changed this setting to "GPU" I have no high CPU usage anymore and no stutters.

So as you can see the setting "AUTO (GPU)" is not the same as "GPU".

This only happens to me in multiplayer. I have an AMD card though.

Did the solution work for you?

Why in the world would the driver ever choose to run PhysX on the CPU instead of a high-end Nvidia GPU???

To me it seemed to have to do with a bad connection to the host in co op sessions. I notice sometimes I will lag when they collect loot too.

amd card's don't have nvidia control panel, or a setting like that in the menu's, so the fix can't work for those of us using amd gpu's

Can confirm it has nothing to do with bad connections .

Also its the exact same stuttet , EVERYTIME .
Only when picking up loot
