Frame Generation micro stutters in Full Screen, but not in Borderless Windowed!
I just tested this for at least an hour and I've found that DLSS Frame Generation has stuttering issues when in normal full screen mode, but it's almost perfectly smooth when using Borderless Windowed mode.

There's definitely something wonky going on with frame gen. I hope this helps anyone experiencing micro stutters. I'm curious to know if this trick helps anyone else!!

This fixed the issue for me when playing in Fullscreen

Stuttering Fix: Change this setting if you have stuttering on a high end PC
Go to your NVIDIA Control Panel > Configure Surround, PhysX, then look at your PhysX settings and make sure its set to "GPU" and not "AUTO (GPU)" or "CPU".

I always had high FPS but stuttering due to high CPU usage because this setting was set to "AUTO (GPU)". Since I changed this setting to "GPU" I have no high CPU usage anymore and no stutters.

So as you can see the setting "AUTO (GPU)" is not the same as "GPU".

I'll try this also. However, the borderless window trick definitely worked for me and that rarely works for me. I was surprised.

Fullscreen > Borderless windowed everytime!... you'll find this fix will affect many other games you have on your system.... no more stutters :) enjoy

I think you misread the thread because I meant borderless windowed has way LESS stutter than full screen in this specific situation, which surprised me because 99% of the time I use exclusive full screen.

@Afro- Understood you perfectly i experienced the same phenomenon, but when i changed the Physx setting to my GPU.... Full screen performed the same as border less windowed.... stutter previously experienced in full screen was now gone

Cool! Did you also try enabling ReBar? It may also help a bit. Impressions here:

Sorry for bring this post back... but, at least on AMD unless you are using FSR with AFMF via the Driver you need to be in Full Screen Exclusive mode for maximum compatibility or else Frame Generation might be disabled.

Maybe what happened to you is that FG is disabled removing the micro stutter when in Windowed mode.
