The guy I was with had like 5 Active though.
you can use 4 concs then liquid escape after that you can switch classes
There is also a ring in the game that allows you to get 1 additional concoction to be active.
Which would make a total of 5.

Unless they are running Alchemist then no it isn't legitimate.

Which is different from the Prime Perk, it is used by slotting the archetype into your primary slot. The Archetype Trait will be active as long as the archetype is slotted in either the primary or secondary slot (as well as being available for general use if the archetype is level 10).
