My summons work fine most of the time, whether it's a boss fight, dungeoning or roaming in the map.
In few occasions, especially on last boss phase 2, during a swap, they suddenly die ( the lose all their bar instantly without being attacked. Like the old huntress bug).
But apart from that no issues so far.
The flying summons often (not always) are not attacking as much as they should during boss fights. And at least against the Guardian on N'Erud, they don't seem to do anything.
The last summon can not attack flying bosses even though it has a ranged attack (never seen it do anything against the Guardian on N'Erud or the Mother Mind on Yaesha, for examples).
Turret is the best pet (but not sure it attacks on its own with the Guardian too - this boss definitely has an issue).
Another tactic I like to use with flying summons is to only keep one out at a time and then detonate before re-summoning. Its good for doing burst damage while constantly triggering the Blood Moon trinket and the Summoner Archetype perk effects.
I have wondered if it's intentional so pets don't just do all the work on bosses, but the turret works great, so...dunno
