Challenger build help

I played with someone, sadly cannot find them as their name was chinese signs.
but they used a build as a challenger and maybe medic or alchemist im not sure.

they did use
Butchers fetish amulet
Spectral blade
they had quite alot of buffs/potions
heavy armor not the mark II one, they light grey one

i would wager they had the infinite stam ring on, as they could dodge for ages.
basically the build seemed to revolve around backdash+charge attack for the swords aoe mod.

it seemed super cool, but i couldnt really figure it out as i died super fast with it.

i used :
amulet:
butchers fetish

Rings:
Bisected ring
Dying Ember
Bright steel ring
Fae Warrior ring

Melee weapon:
Spectral blade
disengage mutator

ranged weapons didnt seem to matter, so i went with whatever.
and relic im not sure of either

Traits:
vigor 10
Triage 10
Amplitude 8
Barkskin 10
Shadeskin 10
Siphoner 10
Strong back 10
Fortify 10

are there any of you who know a build like i described? if so:
A) is it any good for apocalypse?
B) can you throw me a build for the "right setup"

I assume they were using challenger with juggernaut and alchemist with frenzy.

could very well be, i just saw the challenger "second chance" pop and the portrait had a greenish half so i figured it would be medic or alchemist, we had another on the team, so they could very well have been the medic who gave shield.
wish there was a way to inspect peoples builds

Consider that currently, unless I missed something within the patch notes, you can still exploit the alchemist class.

Put it as primary archetyoe, drink 4 flasks, swap into a different one, keep the 4 flasks active.

As for the sword build, could it be the infinite shield one? There's some videos on YouTube.

"quite alot of buffs/potions" should mean Alchemist/Challenger. Though Alchemist would have to be primary in order to get the 4 concoction limit. Not sure how they managed to pull that off while also having Die Hard active, unless they swapped their archetype order at some point.

If going melee, Stoneskin would be particularly helpful.

Most melee builds I see also rely on constant relic use for various buffs. Consider Shielded, Crystal, or Void Hearts. In this case, Glutton would be far more useful than Shadeskin.

Were enemies bleeding? That could have been a Vampire Blade/Bleed ring combo for lifesteal.

oh that sounds very plausible with the alchemist trick.

i dont think it was the infinite shield build, as he used the butchers fetish amulet. and dodged so often im almost certain he used the infinite stam ring.

no there was no bleeding, i think he used the nightweaver rifle.
and spectral blade for constant backdash charged attacks, basically aoe'ing everything down so i belive amplitude mustve been used.
he could basically kill that Losom mini boss who throws bombs at you, by standing under her spamming the backdash charge
