how does CO-OP work?

You can play the full game in co-op together passed the opening "tutorial." The only problem is that progress for story isn't shared. The host is the only one who will progress their story, but everyone will keep their items, level ups, guns, unlocks, et.

just to add to that its a game where your going to want to do the story more then once. each time is different and there are different bosses and items to obtain. iv beat it a couple times and did some adventure. (where u can reroll a certain part of the campaign to find other bosses and stuff)
