*Added a Detailed Geometry video option, which is enabled by default.
DEV NOTE: This option allows for users to disable the setting to reduce environmental geometry detail. This will improve the maximum performance for those with high end CPUs.
Added a lower Graphics Quality Preset named “Potato”.
DEV NOTE: The Potato preset allows for low end systems to more aggressively disable expensive rendering features. Helping them achieve higher frame rates and smoother gameplay.
Makes no sense. The potato settings seem fine though.
Still makes no sense whatsoever LOL
I didn't have a problem LOL
...and I can read, it says very clearly that turning off detailed geometry will help high end CPUs.
Explain to me exactly how turning OFF detailed geometry somehow HURTS low end performance?
It makes no sense.
Well thanks for your totally useless input on the topic LOL
Using a R7 5700, which is not a potato category cpu, if I disable it my fps drop quite a lot.
R5 5600 here. It's not the greatest, but not really "potato" either.
Take it up with the devs. I just consider it funny cause imo that's a very unwise direction for the devs to go with the wording. Specially due to the lack of optimization and heavily relying on up scaling on release.
