And those who ruined your game ( in case they ruined it by generating items you would have liked to get playing the game ) won't get punished either.
The only thing that needs to happen at this point is to let people opt out of joining modded games if they want.
Remnant 2 isn't an MMO or live service. There are no dedicated servers nor are characters stored on a server. If you're worried about something happening to your character I suggest making a backup or just stop joining public games.

I'm assuming the same thing can happen in Remnant 2 as well.
HOWEVER , If it ruined your save , go to your "Saved Games" windows folder , inside the remnant savegame there are .bak (back up) files which you can use to restore you previous save game ... Hope that helps
So the OP has a very *extremely* valid question I'd say.
But then, I guess I don't worry about it because I don't play with randoms, I'm either solo or with my buddies that also play. Some stranger cheating themselves out of the experience doesn't affect that bubble.
