Alchemist and Explorer feel very underpowered
Alchemist's skills don't feel like they offer enough to justify taking it, With underwhelming Perks as well. It's prime perk is neat, But expensive to maintain in the early game.

Explorer is just a standard treasure hunting build, nothing useful for combat.

I feel like Alchemist should have 2 charges on his skills, and also give his vials debuff when thrown at enemies depending on the type, Such as increased damage for stone, Slow for frenzy, and Elemental bomb for Elixir of life.

I'd also like to see them reworking the perks, to be based around elemental damage.

For explorer? Can't really think much, kind of a pure meme archetype

Archetypes fall into the damage/support/utility classifications, and both of those lean heavily towards support/utility.

Kinda hard to argue they're underpowered if you're trying to compare them against the damage potential of Hunter/Gunslinger, because of course they will be. That's not where their strength lies.

I love the vial debuff idea. It would feel a lot more multi-faceted if enemies suffered the inverse of the buff if you lured them into the circle, or threw it at them. That'd be sweeeeeeet.

However, I don't think alchemist is bad as it is. It's one of the few classes with universal damage and the frenzy vial is crazy good.

Explorer...yeah, I dunno. It feels like you should start as an explorer and then unlock the real archetypes.

[Edit] There is also the Hyperconductor amulet that gives you double skill charges if that's what you're really looking for.

Explorer's skill is invaluable for putting distance between you and pulls and avoiding being overwhelmed. Pairs very well with Hunter, Engineer and any other class that isn't great up close or can benefit from some setup. Even as a Challenger it can give you time to get out of a bad situation or give some breathing room with an elite.

Explorer's prime perk is literally "you get more loot". Of course its not a powerhouse class. Its purpose is blatantly declared upon first inspection.

Alchemist you need to embrace the joy of relic chugging. There is a reason some of the best players consider Glutton is mandatory trait.

My biggest disappointment is that we dont get molotov offensive skill or stuff that stacks more debuffs and status effect on enemies, making it focused on consumables is a nest idea but not great for beginner or new character straight up.

Explorer movement speed and stamina bonus from its skills are surprisingly great to let you roll and dodge and weave a lot of attacks, its utility is truly great definetly not a powerhouse but its not meant to be.

Handler/explorer = HC speed builder.

I'm not sure what you're expecting from classes that are support oriented? Alchemist has good self buffs and Explorer also has an incredible perk in Scavenger that is pretty much up 100% of the time, so im not even sure why you WOULDNT want them as an offclass tbh

if anything alchemist is pretty op. it can get like 10+ buffs if you use the bug. also it can either do dmg up or ranged rez players.
explorer is great at its speed boost to explore maps that cuts down time. I don't see what's so bad about either of them.

Alchemist/Medic is what I beat Apoc with. The flask buff, universal damage buff, and prevent death buff are all really strong. So if frenzy.

If you think a Archetype is underpowered and mention early game, maybe that is your issue. Alchemist is amazing. Damage buff work for any damage so it will work with any build you make. First skill is really strong defensive buff that give you highest damage reduction from any skill as well as stagger resistance, second skill is really strong offensive buff and Elixir of life not only gives great health regen, it also enables self rez at any point of it's duration.

On top of that all 3 of these skills are area effects that you can apply to allies. If you play solo, you might not realise it's full potential, if you play in group, there is no archetype that is stronger.

You need to "eat" a coop partner during the fight... it`s impossible to get solo
