Blood Moon

Anyone have any ideas how to get a blood moon? i have looked online and read the usual ideas and tried them. for example in and out of areas, going back to ward 13 and going back to the main blood moon room areas, changing my pc time to see if that triggers one. Played almost 70 hours, completed the games, multiple re-rolls on adventure mode and never once had a blood moon, so im wondering if this is just truly bugged or am i missing something?

Honestly, out of all the tricks I've read, I haven't had much luck w/ any of them.

I just keep running Yaesha and you either have a blood moon in Faithless Thicket (if doing Ravager storyline) or you don't.

Most times I haven't, but when there is I usually get ~10 essences.

Do the Ravager storyline. Side with the Ravager and kill the doe. Permanent Blood Moon after that.

I've seen multiple comments stating this, and I've also seen multiple comments saying it's not true.

Haven't done that version of the Ravager fight yet so don't know personally.

a few tricks that worked for me
load yeasha check moon, if not there, go back to ward for 5 minutes, start the time after you let go of the crystal, go back to yeasha after 5 mins check red sky, if not repeat,
some have said either 15 or even 45 mins, but the 5 minute trigger worked for me.

What worked for me was when I finally opened my next world, the labyrinth, I just ported back and forth from there to a zone where in yaesha and after about 10-15min I got one and repeated that again to get enough orbs to unlock summoner and buy ring. It must be a new world and not ward 13 from what I have read.

My buddy killed the doe and doesnt have a perm blood moon so I would so this is false unless he is bugged. He def killed doe though as he has the achievement for killing a boss without taking damage from that encounter.

Ill try that because i have done the other options with the ravager storyline and not killed the doe first so i will try that cheers

Blood Moon in general seems to be a bit more reliable in Campaign than Adventure, and power level is irrelevant to wisp spawns.

If you want to spare yourself the frustration, just have the game on in the background while you're doing something else and tab in every now and then, travel from Ward 13 to the second open zone (cos it tends to be larger and potentially has a gate near a good wisp farming spot).
If there's a blood moon, run through the zone and check for wisps, then go to the largest village near a gate and just pop in and out without going to a checkpoint since it respawns wisps.
If there isn't, port back to Ward 13 and go back to whatever you were doing for 10-15mins and try again.

The good news is that once one does spawn, you can get the essences pretty quickly.

Not sure on trigger in adventure aside from getting lucky, If I was desperate for them like OP, I would suggest using existing campaign and porting back and forth from yaesha to labyrinth. I healed the doe in my campaign and have still spawned a blood moon now that I am far past that zone and event.

Usually the first time you enter the second map of Yaesha, you will get a blood moon at the start or in 5-10 minutes after.Videos shows everything and has time stamps.
The second map of Yaesha(campaign or adventure) is very big so the first time you get the moon it's pretty hard to collect the blood moon materials so don't worry too much about it.

Search the map for Cathedral of Omens and Imperial gardens. It's much better to simply spawn a map with both of these encounters since they both contain a blood moon door that only opens during the eclipse.
It's much easier to get a map with both locations and then just farm the blood moon until you get all items and 65(64) blood moon essence to buy all items at the altar.

The blood moon eclipse happens every 90 minutes, maybe faster or slower but it seems you need to trigger it by walking through a yellow transition door.
Pick a dungeon like Imperial gardens since its very easy to see the blood moon and then enter and come back through the yellow fog door.
Pick a straight line, medium size, between 2 fog doors and farm, dont touch the crystals and use transition zones back and forth to respawn the blood moon wisps.
So you are outside imperial gardens, you enter it, a blood moon is seen on the sky, exit and farm the 2nd map of yaesha in a straight line, medium size, run through and shoot wisps. When you reached a transition fog door, enter it and come back, go back and farm, use the other transition door until the wisps stop. It can last anywhere from 10-30 minutes depending on rng

You have enough time to get the imperial gardens secret and the cathedral of omens item as well. Warning: only enter the 2 blood moon trap doors when it's a blood moon.

I 101% confirm that the blood moon happens every 90 minutes if you stay in game and in that area. Leave the planet after farming it once and come back and wait.
If you leave the game and come back later it seems you still wait around the same amount of time.

Tried all that, never had one blood moon in 70 hours of play either on story or adventure, tried everything you said before nothing has worked.

it's impossible for it not to work since i got a blood moon even after the recent update.
Are you not geting a blood moon on the second map after entering it? Waiting 90 minutes and then entering yellow gates doesn't do anything?
I wasted an entire day to test it and it happend 4 times in a row in the same location.
Are you hearing the more creepy music? or what happens after 90 minutes?
Just sit in the area i previously said and stay in the game for 90 minutes just doing something else

Also, don't trust the Sky - check if the conditions are met by yourself. Meaning check for wisps or trapdoors to open even if the blood moon isn't visible in the sky.

TL;DR yesterday I had wisps spawn in bright daylight, no sign of a blood moon.
