Question about Monster in the Drain (Tiller's Rest/Harvester's Reach/Great Sewers Injectible)

I was running through Tiller's Rest and I ran by a drain where a rat monster tried to grab me but I dodged on instinct. I refreshed at a checkpoint and went back to the same drain, but nothing happened. I've also tried all the other drains in the area but again, nothing. Is the grab a one-time event? Will I have to re-roll Losomn to get another chance?

note, this isn't the over-world grab where you get the Alchemist archetype, I want to get the Alchemist armor and ring.

You just reminded me of my experience.I Went in through the Losom/Nighweaver world. Not sure, I ran into this on my first character (a ratman in a dungeon), dodged it... at 3 different places in the Great Sewer. I didnt find out til later you could be grabbed by a ratman in overland for the alchemist stone, this must be the same mechanic then? So, maybe there are a few more chances in that sewer.

It tried to grab me once and I dodged it. Later during a sewer run where a blue light jumps into you i was fighting 3 mini bosses at the end of it and dodge rolled back only to get grabbed by the thing from behind which is basically an instant death event where it takes you to its lair.

You want that to happen once since defeating it will get you a ring and it will take you to an inaccessible part of the map where you can also find an armor set.

It should trigger a scripted event where it pulls you in and you have to fight it. That being said when I first ran into it the game bugged and I just died. It is not a one time event. I just went back and ran around to every sewer grate in Losomn until it triggered again.
