Report a translation problem
I don't know if it counts as a death for the purposes of Hardcore Characters, but it appears to use the "death and respawn" mechanic to transition you into the new area. This is based on the fact that health, ammo and enemies reset, as well as that you show up as "dead" in multiplayer when it happens to you.
Would co-op partners dying work, as well? I ask, because last time it happened, my co-op partner revived me at the World Stone.
In multiplayer the other play needs to die to trigger the event.
I don't think its working as intended. Not sure. I imagine we will see a fix for it at some point.

• Fixed an issue where scripted deaths from the Bone Harvester, Empress Guards, and Red Prince caused actual deaths and ended Hardcore runs.
