Blood Moon spawn
Has it been absolutely verified if the moon only spawns randomly from door, or is it time based?

The issue is that theres so many places saying otherwise. So is this one absolutely confirmed? Cause theres others saying its every 2 hours, some are saying it'll spawn just randomly thru any dungeon door, some say its only Main Path doors that'll allow the spawn.

Someone on Reddit even reccomended pushing the time 12 hours ahead.
its all nonsense, the blood moon will always spawn when you enter the second map of yaesha, in 2-10 minutes of entering the area.
After that it starts again every 90 minutes, not all maps have wisps, just the main map of the area in general. You can trigger it by going through the yellow door after that time period.
Usually i sit in the transition dungeon and wait or kill the big elites for 500 exp. you can also exit and enter again but then the timer is randomised a bit.

Sit in the transition area between the second map of yaesha and either imperial gardens or widow's court, it's a dungeon that starts with a big vine connecting the floating island, the blood moon will apear over there, very easy to spot.

I also went to another planet after finishing farming the blood moon but i didnt have the patience to test if it works without it or not.

Also, pick a straight line area with dungeon transition on each sides if possible, much faster.
You can get between 8-22 wisps depending on luck.
The duration itself seems randomised and the wisp spawns depend on map, rng and other stuff. Sometimes they can spawn in other places of the big map and you could get less

I was bored to tears that day and i wasted my entire day but i got 5 blood moons one after the other.
Works on campaign and adventure mode. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y-dHRjX1oIw

Also, get a map with imperial gardens and cathedral of omens, you don't want to do this all over again. They can both spawn on the same map and have blood moon trap doors

For me that works..wait until time -- : 29 Min then Port from Ward13 (or any other map NOT Yaseha) to Yaesha and run through a Yellow door in the the Areal (like from the Forest in the one of the Dungerons)so long until Bloodmoon spawns..sometimes it dissapears after 20mins ..sometimes not..but so i got my Bloodmoon essence, be carefull..in Adventure mode the Bloodmoon doors are buggy for some People it just work SAFE in Adventure Mode, when you have a Friend that have buyed all Bloodmoons stuff you can ask him if he would sell his Bloodmoonessences to his Vendor and then you can buy it for Scrap from the Vendor Back so you dont need this horrible Grind sh...^^

sry for bad english hope that helps you

This did not work either.

Scratch that I think I did something wrong, or was just going in to fast. Seems its every 90 minutes roughly, wait 2-10 minutes as Neyreyan said.

Just move the system (Windows) clock forward of like 2 hours and pass throu a golden mist door, i usually go from Widow Court to Far Woods for example: unlimited blood moons guaranteed

"main map" here means "the map with the blood moon altar", if there's no altar that means no wisps will spawn.

Also if you're in a flying islands map (anything with a good view of the sky) you can see the blood moon approach in the sky before it triggers, it can save you some needless waiting (you can tell if it's gonna be very soon or not).

(IMO it helps to think of this thing like a standard day-night cycle, except it only updates when you load a new area.)

For anyone wondering, you can wait in whatever secondary zone you need the blood moon, change your pc time and reload the zone and this works

except you would need to exit game, change time, exit sites like twitch(wich does not allow manual tampering with time and date) that stop working, enter the game again and wait for it to happen.
Sometimes this can cause the blood moon to bug out or not work properly since it's on a fixed 45-ish minute timer.
At that point it would be just better to start a new adventure map on yaesha and the blood moon will trigger pretty fast after entering the second area after killing the transition dungeon boss.
Yeah, changing is faster and the best option but you are going to need to do this multiple times( 2-3 times for the materials, 2 more times for the dungeons with the special mechanics) if you know perfectly what to do.
Better to just use save guardian to get all the maps you need, setup the entire thing and just wait, do something else during that time:steambored:
Of course, some people play on console and i am not sure if you can change the time on a console?

Since it’s not fun, the best advice I can give is to ask for somebody on the discord server to share their resources.

You will eventually collect other essences during your game, but if you are in a rush ( aka struggling in order to farm them, aka not having fun because it’s a tedious task ) it’s the best you can get ( and it won’t ruin your experience ).
