Dream catcher: what causes this interaction?

Others I play with when tehy evade strike it just kinda does a sweeping move, but when I perform my evade strike I perform a sort of acrobatic kung fu pole vault kick followed by smashing down.

We have tested armor lightness and other things and it just... It hasn't proven easy to identify why it is doing this different, arguably better melee for me,

I do have max fitness, that could be relevant...

There's charged and uncharged evade strikes, probably that.

So the double sweep is your uncharged neutral evade, but the pole kick -> hammer blow is your charged neutral evade. Now you can spam this is much as you like out of combat, but once you're in combat, it requires stamina. I find myself trying ti do charged neutrals all the time and without the stamina I just get the neutral swing
