No GPU usage
Just wondering if this has happened to anyone else and if they have found a fix for it.

According to task man. the game is using 0% of my GPU.

Use something more reliable to read GPU usage other than Task Manager.

I would if I knew what to use, but tbh I doubt that they will say much different considering other games clearly use my GPU and TM says that my GPU is being used.

Any hw monitoring tool, gpuz, hwinfo64, msi afterburner, etc.

Task manager is for this purpose unreliable.

I got HWiNFO and from what im looking at almost nothing changes when I open up R2 yet when opening up another game there is a difference.

So now the questions are as follows:
Are you looking at the correct GPU readout ?
Is there any other issue beside the GPU usage readout ?
Toast Aug 18, 2023 @ 11:15am
When running R2 and looking at the GPU sensors it says the core load was at 94%, memory load was at 14% and video engine at 10%. I've looked at these with other games and it seems about the same.

As for any other issues I cant seem to find anything.

Edit: It reads the correct specs for everything, GPU 2060 Super and I7 9700k proc

Are you actually ingame or just in the menu?
Menu possibly doesn't use much at all.

Not to mention with a 2060 super you're likely running DLSS on Performance mode, meaning that in some areas your gpu would likely not be doing much anyway.

The game is extremely spiky in fps. I would def call it unoptimized at best.

yh in game

I tried messing around with dlss/ dlaa and perfermance stuff but the most fps I could get in the hub was 30-40

ok I got it working for now, so in case anyone else needs a fix, just start the game from the exe location with admin priv.
i had this happen once and my game actually ran better which i feel is kinda weird

well actually as a very quick update, my pc crashed afterwords and then it went back to running like ♥♥♥♥ regardless

I might not be detecting the game properly and for some reason is running it on the iGPU?

Have you tried updating your nvidia drivers?
Toast Aug 18, 2023 @ 2:28pm
I've done pretty much everything a this point from checking nvidia control panel to checking windows settings to checking game file settings to updating drivers (which I didnt need to do) to running the game as admin + more.

Feels like at this point I might just have to wait for a patch.
