How to unlock Archetype traits?

I leveled up Explorer to 10. I got a message that the movement trait was unlocked for all characters.

But none of my characters have this trait unlocked.

Is there something I need to do to unlock it for the other characters? Is this bugged?

Each time you level up archetypes to level 10 it unlocks their base trait for other archetypes for your current character. So you leveled Explorer to 10, now when you switch that out with another archetype you'll have the movement trait unlocked to put points in instead of it being hard locked.

Ooooooh so to unlock that trait on my Challenger I would have to level up Explorer to 10 on my Challenger character. That makes sense. Kinda rough.

Yes, archetype traits are on a per character basis, not account-wide. But since you can max out all 11 archetypes on a single character + mix and match as you like, it makes sense why it's done this way, considering you can also with that single character reroll any difficulty except for hardcore.
