Is it even possible to save the victim in the Butchers Quarter solo?

NOTHING near him, no torches touched the damn pile, and no firebombs exploded because they hadn't spawned yet but, the pile up and gets lit anyway.

Yeah it is possible to save him solo

Yes. Just stand by the fire pit and kill the guys with torches before they get close. Enigma can take out the entire area if you are having issues. I would imagine you are just letting some torch guys through. I've never had an issue completing this solo on any diff.

Either this or your game is bugged.

I did it by putting the cannon turret on the pile of wood then running around the area killing everything I found.

Apparently if your set on fire and pass by the wood or a bomb goes off to close to it also tends to fail the mission

Just stay close to the pyre and kill the torch bearers... I won't say it's easy but it's not very hard.

The engineer's last turret (gravity something) is really good for this event. Just throw it down near the wood pile and you're pretty much good.

chances are you are accidentally lighting it yourself or catching fire and touching it.

I just helped get it today. We used a lot of aoe slow moves. It was hectic!

When I was doing it solo the dog saved the day by killing the last torch bearer. If you are alone you just need some minions to have more area control near the pyre.

After he burns, leave the area and come back in or use the checkpoint. Kill the pig eating his body to get a ring.

Literally just did this as my first event in HC Veteran.
Not sure about doing it raw on higher difficulties. Was Challenger. Stomp stomp stomp~
