Using Dreamcatcher on Huntress

I'm trying to use the dreamcatcher on the sleeping Huntress, but my guy just ends up swinging at her. I'm not doing a charge attack, just tapping lmb while aiming at her. Is there a missing step to this? A certain spot to aim at?

I actually just got this dream, from the crystal near her I just crept up towards her herself and used it when I got near, I don't think you need to be near the mounts head, that is what wakes up to your presence I believe.

I keep trying with the ways you have all been saying but I just keep attacking. I didn't have this problem with Nemue. I recorded a video of it.

Is this your first time engaging her? This may be the issue, you have to fight her, tire her out, then when you are back she will be sleeping. I think it wont work if you didnt beat her up first.

Yeah I had almost killed her before she ran off. That was in another zone though.

I had the same issue. Found that I needed to let her kill me first. On the second attempt it worked. Good luck!

I always do it up against the head of her mount, not her.

Looks like you hit the horse instead of her. I haven't done huntress yet, but I heard of similar things hitting Nimue's bracelet etc so I did her with charge attack and it worked fine there. I suspect charge attack will work on huntress.
