Using Dreamcatcher on Huntress

I'm trying to use the dreamcatcher on the sleeping Huntress, but my guy just ends up swinging at her. I'm not doing a charge attack, just tapping lmb while aiming at her. Is there a missing step to this? A certain spot to aim at?

oh I forgot to mention that I'm crouching too. I sneak up and have been trying different angles at her. But no go.

I had already killed Huntress in a previous campaign. Does that mean I can only get the huntress dream in adventure mode?

When use you should get a consumable Huntress dream i assume you use that near her when she is sleeping and it should take you to another realm. I say assume as i was in a random game and i think this what the host did.

It worked when I was facing her directly, I got as close as I could, and tapped melee.

you holding it, all you need is a light tap. instead of hit, it will be animation of char getting dream. I guess you have to crouch and be close enough.

Didnt read that you said you not charging it, unsure why then. I did it yesterday on mine first try. Could be bugged.

It may be a directional thing too. I snuck up and tried but it may have been a bit close to the mount rather than the huntress and it swung. But I have done it before and if you try to melee when you are close enough it just stands and waves the stick at her rather than swinging it like a melee attack.

I know that I did get a second orb from her before, but I didn't currently have one when I most recently tried to catch her dream.

I do believe if you currently have her dream you can't get another one.

Overall I would say that you can start by checking your inventory for her dream in case you some how already have one. After that, just make sure she is asleep and specifically angle at her when you get close.

If that still fails then you might need to submit it as a bug and see if other people are able to reproduce the issue.

How exactly did you get behind Nimue? Last I saw her, there isn't a walkway to get "behind" her.

I have been successful by going to the head of her mount, being at a complete stop, crouching, and then hitting the melee button

Sounds like something is bugged. With the dreamcatcher equipped, all you need to do is stand in front of her face and initiate a single attack. It will go into an animation.

You can do huntress in either campaign or adventure mode. She is a random spawn so she probably could spawn multiple times per region so long as she spawns in multiple bubble areas.

The only thing I could possibly use to help ID the issue is a video of what's happening. Otherwise, it sounds like you are doing everything correct.

There is no need to crouch.
