Personally, I run Slayer mutator instead. 20% more damage after every shot, and 15% faster reload speed.
No. There is a mod you get in Root Earth that increases charge speed. Otherwise, you are looking for charge speed/trate. This is BIS for dps.
All of you say this, but the Crescent Bow's mod specifically enhances fire rate (among other things), so I think it's a fair question.
Is this confirmed somewhere, or is this an assumption we are all making because fire rate did not affect single-shot weapons in Remnant 1?
Seems like an odd design choice for a mod that is locked to a bow that is designed to enhance a bow to specifically boost a stat that does not affect bows.
Default test with no fire rate or reload speed boosts: 20 shots
For increased fire rate, there wasn't many options that also didn't require kills or other special conditions. Gunslinger charm and gunslinger archtype passve for 30% total increased fire rate. Roughly 22.5 shots.
For reduced fire rate, I used Burden of the Follower. -15% fire rate: 19 shots.
For increased reload speed, I used Void Idol, Outcast Ring, Blackout Ring, Wind Hollow Circlet, Gunslinger's Ring, and Slayer mutator. Total 97% increased reload speed: 27 shots.
Supercharger or Slayer and as much +damage or +crit damage or +crit chance is what you're after. Does that mean Crescent Moon basically has an irrelevant boost on it? Yeah, pretty much, but it's not the only item in the game like that. In fact, that's one of the reasons people were so drawn to Enigma and Fingerblaster (heh) - because those weapons have excellent and flexible self-synergies that aren't wasted or don't require use of some other convoluted mechanic to make work. The game is chock full of useless ♥♥♥♥ items that increase damage, for example, but only on kill, for 2%, stacking x times, for 2 seconds. What boss fight can you keep those topped in and useful during?
Just terrible design choices all over this game, even though I really like it. Everything comes down to detonation trigger or bleed or crit builds, basically. So many options are completely useless during boss encounters as to make them irrelevant.
Yeah, I've got like 50 rings, but maybe 15 of them are actually useful in any given scenario.
You don't see why firing high-damage single shots faster might be relevant to people?
Ammo is barely a consideration in this game.
I run slayer too for now and upgrading it to get to that 15% reload speed .
So in conclusion "Fire rate" does not affect bows ? Only reload speed , Charge speed , ect ?
