When i see unreal engine i buckle up and expect poor frame pacing, stutters and crashes. More teams need to take notes from id and capcom and hire people who can make their own engines and not have to deal with unreal
Strangely enough it seems like if you never push it significantly past 60fps, it doesnt crash. So alot of lower end machines dont crash. Seems like frequency and clock speed hitting a certain speed crashes it, since most workarounds are either reducing memory/gpu overclocks or simply capping to 60fps. Really sad because i have no desire to keep playing the game at a fraction of my monitors refresh rate
In "Windows Explorer" (Windows key + E)
Navigate to your Remnant2 folder. Assuming you are on Steam it will be:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Remnant2
or
Something\Steam\steamapps\common\Remnant2
Once you find that:
- Right Click the "Remnant2" file
- Click "Properties"
- Click the "Compatibility" Tab
- Under "Compatibility Mode" click the drop down
- Choose "Windows 8"
- Click OK
I hope this helps!
