Dialogue and campaign rerolling

Hi, I have questions about the dialogues from NPCs in your base.

I noticed that when I met him for the first time, Reggie asked me some questions which have several answer choices, and the conversation ended with "I understand you better now", or something like that.

Does that have anything to do with the game or how the game progresses? Also if I reroll the campaign do I get to choose different things again?

I made a new character, and re-rolled campaign and notice how I gotta redo the conversation with the npcs.

Do you mean you can redo the conversation after rerolling? Great! So I wouldn’t feel like I answered some of them wrong :)
