FPS vs Refresh rate
Hello guys,

I have noticed that my FPS does not match my current monitor refresh rate.
I have 144hz monitor, in every game and i say EVERY game if my fps is lets say 70 and i check my current refresh rate on monior, it say also 70hz and it fluctuates up and down.

But in this game i play lets say 40fps and if i check my current refresh rate it says 80hz which is weird, is not it?
It is almost like game cutting my fps by half, which may be true for some reason cuz my 6800xt should run game like this at 60-70fps right?

is is some game engine flaw or something that can be easily fixed later? I dont know but i have never experienced something like this. For me current refresh rate should match current FPS.

FPS is how many frames the game is pushing out.
Refresh rate is a technical specification for a monitor for how many frames it CAN put out.

G-sync (and Freesync) monitors adapt to framerate, which enables them to refresh as fast as frames are coming in. There's more to it, but that's the gist of it.

Given your symptoms, I'd guess you have v-sync on. Disable it and try again.
It's a fairly old technique that matches up framerate to monitors refresh rate, and when the game can't keep up even by a single frame (almost always) it goes at half the refresh rate.

-force-d3d11 enter this in your launch settings for Remnant to force it to DX11. That helped me get about 20 more fps.
