Do you know where the dev said that? I'm trying to collect as much information as possible and I want confirmation since there's a lot of misinformation with so many secrets in the game.
It would depend. When you reach Data Corruption status (the full bar) it locks your abilities so you cant use them.
If what you are suggesting is correct then a random enemy in Labyrinth would be blessed with the use of that status effect so you would have rng to check it out.
Though a friend of mine did get to the door with Data corruption status on him and still could not do anything. So there may be more steps to this.
That's what I was thinking. But how can we even use them?
and here I thought I was onto something LOL
Then perhaps the answer is to use a specific mutator on a specific weapon. That would make sense considering the dreamweaver staff is used to access a whole different area in the game.
Whatever the key is to this is probably something we're overlooking, like examining objects to see if they alter or are interactable. The fact the door has no interaction range or anything means it's something sneaky.
Worst case, as apparently one of the devs drastically altered the puzzle last minute out of spite, they broke it and it won't get solved until they fix the other bugs (revivalist, achievements, etc. etc. etc.)
*edit worst worst case, it's cut/missing content that just isn't implemented properly or doesn't exist yet :v
I managed to get corruption status and die at the same time, hoping it would make it permanent or something - nope
i also attempted obtaining repeat corruption status, hoping it would be permanent. it got up to nine seconds, but then it was back down to four. i did die a few times, so maybe that reset my buildup or -1'd it. or maybe the length just varies depending on how you receive the status
Will start a new campaign and carry the master key over to that spot before i unchangeable use it on the teleporter. Maybe it will open some option up?
i went to the door with the master key and you still can't do anything with it. I visited the door at each step of the labyrinth process and nothing changed.
It's some obscure combination of things, or something specifically designed to troll players.
Or like I said, that spite change broke it and the dev doesn't care.
