Then again those do play in a way. The sound works, the game even registers if I move my mouse around. But it just won't show me the game screen
For some reason... The steam EXE for it, is bugged. At least that is what I am getting cause a little digging in the files and I found the Remnant2-win64-Shipping.exe and it is running the game...
Not sure if its missing a main menu or if it is suppose to just go to character creation and into the game right away
If you are still doing steam version dig in the files for the Remnant2-win64-Shipping.exe it played for me... and likely what I am going to use to replace the EXE that steam uses.
I have tried it, OP tried it, It isn't the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ need for that C++ its that the steam Application for Remnant ended up the broke. I am having to run the Shipping EXE in order to play.
Yeah, it's a Steam issue because the game runs no issues through Epic and if I add Remnant 2 to my Steam library as a non-Steam game and try to run it through Steam I get the same Visual C++ error. Unfortunately for me I long since refunded the game on Steam and have been playing on Epic. So, this fix that some people say worked I won't get to try. And despite the Dev's saying that Steam and Epic can play together, and linking accounts, Steam and Epic can in fact not play together due to some EOS error... But thank you for posting what seems like an actual fix.
Also, I tried multiple times to uninstall the 2015-2022 C++ and it won't. I tried just installing it over the old file and it didn't install. I tried repairing the file and it wouldn't repair. But, I have the file and always have. Idk why Steam and Epic did it like this... I just wanted to play with my friends.
