We have been playing just fine for the last 2 hours but out of the blue I can no longer connect to my friend's game..

It just keeps saying connecting please wait and then "Network connection lost"

This has been happening to me since i bought the game 2 days ago. Ive never been able to connect to anyone and get the same error. Cant even connect to another steam user sitting right next to me.

I have reported it a few times in the Bug channel in discord but the Devs have never acknowledged my report. I dont see it on the Pinned list of known issues so I worry this will just fall by the way side. I hope not since Multiplayer is my ONLY reason for playing this

Me? i am unable to join public or private games In Remnant 2. I do not have a firewall at all and play tons of multiplayer games. If there is any thing I can provide you (logs) please let me know and I will get you what you need

i can join public games but occasionally i get randomly disconnected halfway thru its so frustrating. No internet problems

I have the same issue as OP and Ive tried friends only and public and I can't joing friends directly and I can't find public games to join with the quickstart thing.

i have not been able to access any multiplayer at all. always just get the updating please wait. when i hit x to link to epic account, nothing happened and it just disappeared, went and dit it manually on their website but still get nothing. hopefully this patch fixes it.

had same problem. try all kinds of thing. running as administer, disable fire walls, check for updates, I also lost my armor sets as well. after doing a verify integrity then running then game my windows explore opened up asking to link the game to my epic account even tho i bought it on steam. well i did it an now i have my armors back and i can connect to Co-Op as well. Update did something with the epic an steam linking if u have an epic account try linking to steam if not make one then try an see if that helps

I can connect to the public game, but not to the friends private game.

Same issue here. Tried pretty much everything. But it seems as the steamworks integration is a bit off, or how their session handling is implemented. I think only the devs can do something about this issue.

I get the feeling they are using something like the steam core plugin for unreal engine instead of building their custom platform integration.

me too, and the savegame via cloud save didn't work too, my gameplay progress is different between PC and my Steam deck, but the coud status is up to date, this game need so much work to polish

This exact thing happened to me and then i realized my pc's date/time were still adjusted forward 2 days for Alepsis-Taura and the Flooding Sewer event. Set it back and co-op worked again.

addendum to this, make sure to reboot your game just incase when you do this
