The issue with DX12 is that it offloads a lot of pipeline optimization to the developer side of things, no longer able to be de-facto multithreaded via API like the work Nvidia did on DX11.
Let me guess: it's running great on your rig because you're using DLSS.
How'd I do?
This game is one of them.
Except the game ending the loading screen before it's really done loading (and causing low framerates for the first few seconds after load), the game runs fine. No major stuttering, no random loss of framerate while playing, nothing that would be indicative of poor optimization.
Anyone who is experiencing performance issues needs to lower their settings, upgrade their drivers, or upgrade their hardware. Plenty of people don't upgrade their hardware for a decade and expect the same machine to run modern games at max settings on their now-potato. That's not how it works.
But I do agree with you that hardware from the early 2016 users should upgrade and their RIG is obsolete AF.
All in all, game optimization could be better, but I doubt that, since its UE 5.2, although there is no LUMEN yet ! paired with DX12, well.. you know..
