Engineer Class not Spawning with Armour?

I have done all the needed steps in my campaign, and I got the armour no problem, but the class item doesn't spawn with the armour. Is this supposed to happen?

I post this here because I know the engineer is a new thing, but I was wondering if this is a bug or intended.

As I understand, the class item is in the trench next to another dead body. So from the body with the armor, drop down and look for a dead body.

I went there, there is nothing down there. I have gone down multiple times, still attempting to find it down there, but it doesn't seem to actually be there.

Are you sure you didn't already pick it up and you need to craft the engineer class item with Wallace?

The item should show up in my inventory, I haven't left the area and it's not in there

it the armour IS there, i can confirm, i have the archetype and the armour. the archetype item is on the lower step, the armour is a HIGHER step. its the the right of the class item. you can make the jump first from the edge of map. it might not be possible to get them both on same life as the posien stuff will kill you.

I experienced the same. Found the armor but no device. So I started an adventure (have to beat N'Erud) and found the device in Eon Vault.

Keep in mind, with the exception of Ward 13 and the Labyrinth, the maps are generated. A video guide can give you a rough idea, but it WILL NOT be in the exact same spot for you. You just gotta look around the area a bit better.

only in eon vault, (as far as i can tell) and always the same rock formation before the jump, cliff to the left, 3 spikes to right

Can show up in Timeless Horizon as well. That's where I got mine.

The body is not in the pit, its above it, you need to do a running jump to it instead of falling.

and I can confirm it isn’t always - I walked into a gap where there was a concrete square looking thing on the ground looked out if place -looks nothing like any video I saw. Walked into fog got archetype immediately - no jumping. Walked in further saw no other items - went back three times. Got Engineer from Wallace - no armor

Armor can be bought from Whisper (the scribble/silent guy left side of Cass).
