'Archetype' is what you choose in the beginning, i.e., 'class'. This trait should apply to the dog and the dog only.

I believe your dog counts as a "skill" so those things you find that buff or increase stats/dmg I think increase your dogs dmg. Don't quote me on it I haven't tested it yet because I haven't found one that buffs it enough to notice a change

Im not sure you understand my question. There are traits that effect things like "Health of Archtype Summons." Im wondering if those are exclusive to summoner or if handler is also counted.

I was wondering the same thing myself. Especially since you can get that trait much sooner than the Summoner.

Right? But since you don't actually "summon" the dog it's somewhat ambigious. Since I can't see the dogs health there's not really a way to test it.

The ring that gives you bulwark for having a summon works on the dog so I assume the dog is considered a minion/summon

How did you test it out? The only way I could think is the "summons take damage for you" trait. Im short the point to do so though.

This guy answered you perfectly

In the context of "most" games a thing that straight up exists is usually a minion, while a *press button*/*get kill*/*do thing* to make thing appear is usually classed as a summon so I without what Rinny said I would assume this game works the same and consider the dog a minion till I aquire a method to test it like Rinny did.

Yep, this is correct. The dog gives a stack of Bulwark, he's considered a summon as well.

Doesn't really matter how it was tested, the answer is yes.

It does because Im not in the habit of just assuming strangers on a Steam forum know what they're talking about without evidence and I don't intended to change that habit today.

Nevermind dog counts as a summon not skill, every time I load in or die it procs my summoner necklace. So Handler + Summoner is all summon dmg while the others that you can choose are skill dmg. So in other words Handler is summon and I'm glad I spend the time gathering the resources to have this sub archetype.

Hell yeah. Stacking a summon class with a summon class will be a blast.

This is useful info. Thanks!
