Terminus Train High ledge

In the middle of Terminus train, theres a long elevator to a lower elevator but before that is a high ledge with a purple item on it. I assume there is some hidden ledge that I've missed but I wonder if anyone has found a way to get up there

I'm looking for answers as well, so far my attempts to jump from my ledge to the purple item's ledge has failed. A total of about 20 deaths in trying every angle possible and even trying to see if I can drop down to the platforms below that connects to the same "tree" the purple item is on.
