It's not the exact same. They have less skin options for some reason

Why does it matter so much?
After 5 minutes you are all geared up and you wont even see your face anymore.

That is true. Though they've changed the armor system so the armor that covered you face isn't basically "meta" anymore. Also for a while in the first game I had mostly various hats instead of helmets.

I actually usually don't care about character creation. It's just weird that I can't pick the skin color for me when the first game had the option

That is true. Though they've changed the armor system so the armor that covered you face isn't basically "meta" anymore. Also for a while in the first game I had mostly various hats instead of helmets.

Yeah you can. I didn't say you couldn't but for some reason they have less options than the first game. Like I can't be the same color as Cass for example

in case you havent noticed, different faces have different skin colors

I noticed an NPC in the starting town with the same face as my character. That pulled me right out of the game. Some more face customization options would've been nice.

Do you mean choosing other faces have other skin colors allotted to them? If that's true that's garbage.
I wanted something similar to Cass tone but it wasn't available from what I could see.

yes, the faces with more "european" features have brighter skin tones to pick between etc

That's so weird. Like I can get the reason behind it, but it's such a weird thing to force in a character creator. Thanks for letting me know. Do you know if you can change your characters appearance or do I have to start over basically? I'm about to check myself now
