Does SSD Help FPS?
Would I get a frame or two more if I try to move the game to my small af ssd somehow or would it just affect stuff like loading screens and stutters when walking into new area?
Performance is absolute ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ on my old rig even with all low and performance upscaling so I am looking to in any tiny way try and get it a bit better; which I ofc realise is pointless but still...
Would playing it on SSD boost frame rate even a tiny bit?
I know it does not actual boost fps but some fps drops can be due to game loading in textures and such but I've no clue how much ssd actually helps remnant 2.

p.s. does putting -high and -cpuLoadRebalancing into launch options help a bit?

Yes if you have space do it, it won't help max fps but will help lows and drops especially over a hdd.

Aight. Not worth redownloading it whole via my slow net then anyway. Man, i rly hope they can push out some optimization patches

If you have it already installed why re-download it. Just move it through the steam storage settings.

Nowadays everyone in gaming has an ssd because they're cheap atm. It doesn't hurt you buying one. Afterall its just so much better aswell and starfield will require you to have one to

Only difference I felt between my HDD (installed there initially) and SSD (moved it there) is faster load times, as usual. Performance is the same.

I wanted to see if it would help with opening and closing map. It didn't. Opening the map drops fps to single digits for a fraction of a second. Very annoying.

thank you for info. by loading times u mean loading screens or also loading of enemies and textures and level as you sprint through the map?
