Performance?

What does everybody's performance look like? I noticed that the game boots with DLSS enabled and on performance mode. That's a really bad sign.

I have a 3080ti and an i7 9700k and the game runs at 40fps without DLSS, after the intro cinematic. ~70 with DLSS on quality, but you definitely shouldn't need DLSS to achieve that. YIKES. Worst performing game I've played in the past couple years. Worse than Last of Us Part 1. I'll give it the benefit of the doubt that it'll be patched though.

i locked mine at 86 fps and it doest drop. im on a i7-8700k, 32gb ram and 3080. DLSS on performance

Without DLSS, my 2080 at 1440p hits an AMAZING 32fps, with DLSS on performance I get around 80fps. This is with everything on low.

awful. There's no way to play without dlss even on 4090

Everything maxed except shadows and effects on medium 1440p (those settings were the main culprit for bad FPS in remnant 1). Anyway, game runs around 60-70fps most of the time, sometimes drops at 50. But I have to enabled DLSS quality otherwise my fps tanks to 20-40fps.

Same here RTX 3070ti with 32GB ram and I must have DLSS on if I want anything above 60fps. Without it's max 50. on 2k tho.

5 hours played - almost everywhere solid 60 except one dungeon where it could dip into the mid 40s.

30-40 FPS at 1440p low on a GTX 1080ti. Pretty rough, but if I'm being honest I can't really spot a quality difference with FSR on (which gets me a locked 72 FPS).

99% FPS: 68
Frame time: 17ms
Except for cutscenes. Cutscenes are locked by the game at 60fps.

Strictly framerate-wise. 40fps on a 3080ti here. Last of Us was never that bad in my experience. I'm not sure what your standard or comparison is, but games like Spider-Man, Returnal, the upcoming Ratchet and Clank (performance there will be better than this, even with RTX, you'll see), Dead Space, etc run pretty good and have awesome graphics.

I absolutely love the art style and graphics in this game though. They may not be top-tier, but I certainly like them more than most games I've played this generation. It reminds me of Control, but I enjoy the Remnant 2 aesthetic a lot more. The gameplay is also great so far.
