Cant talk to Ford by the Gate

I cant proceeed with the main mission cause ford wont talk to me by the big gate. any idea what to do?

You need to go to Wallace at the docks mate to get your archetype, then you need to acquire your weapons and mods from the others. Listen to the dialogue and or read. Goodluck mate.

I can't talk to Ford either, but I've already taken care of everything else. The game crashed on the way to Ford at the gate.
Restarting the game didn't help.

I got all the quests done before talking to ford but my game froze and I had to restart my system after that there is no quest tracker on the side of the screen

Same here. Keeps crashing now when I try to get to him and talk to him.

It repeatedly did this to me on any character in first slot, created a second character and got past it but never have gotten my scavenger and gunslinger bonus, also can not join multiplayer for some reason.

even eventually made an epic account and manually linked it to steam, when i hit x in game nothing happened before.

I’m in the same circumstance. Verified game install but still no luck. I’d rather not make another character out of principle. My rig is not the problem and this ♥♥♥♥ is inexcusable.

I’m in the same circumstance. Verified game install but still no luck. I’d rather not make another character out of principle. My rig is not the problem and this ♥♥♥♥ is inexcusable.

so far making a new toon is the only work around i found

The first quest's indicator on the map is WRONG

You need to talk to talk to Wallace, who is a blue icon on your map and up the tower, then after picking your archetype, go to the weapons guy, then the upgrade guy, and finally the mod girl. Afterwards, you can now go to where the map icon is to continue the quest into the old ward

Follow the names on the right side of the screen and press M to find the people it shows to be able to complete it


Also, after you get the flashlight from the old man, be sure to inspect it and rotate it, might help you with a particular chest from his office room you met him in *wink*

I can confirm that rolling a new character in the second slot fixes this. Still a really stupid bug though lol.

I had this exact same problem. Unable to talk to Ford since my game crashed while finishing up. I upgraded everything and chose archetype as well. Looks like I will remake.

argh! I barely get to play these days and now I have to go through the beginning of the game with several cutscenes.
