Uhhh... No Direct X12??

Game wont start.... I get:

DirectX 12 is not supported on your system. Try running without the -dx12 or -d3d12 command line argument.

Anyone know how to fix lol??? Not a good sign.....

Honestly I'd just wait until Tuesday to play and get the day 1 patch. Game is all kinds of buggy now and this early access period seems to amount to paid beta testing.

I'm on an AMD gpu and tried everything to get this game to work. I think I've given up. If they don't have a fix by release, I'm refunding.

You/we knew exactly that this would happen. I mean, the last 10 years of releases had to teach us.

You say this but Remnant was actually okay when it came out. I know this is a big budget sequel but in my head it's still a niche sorta game with devs that care(d).

Dang I feel bad for AMD users, if it didn't work for you guys.. And for some of you who have followed and it still didnt work.

Like I said though, maybe forcing your Computer to Update to 22h2 will do the trick, but it will take time. And if it doesn't then I'm sorry but thats all I got. It works on my end now after Manually doing all of those steps and I am Hoping that Nvidia, AMD, and the Gunfire Devs will pull together and get a patch out to correct this so that they an get all of you in

Try going to the game's folder and first set the exe to run in windows compatibility mode.

Next, run the game directly from that exe in the game's folder and see what happens.

Not sure what engine this uses, but there are actually different versions of DX within major revisions (11, 12, etc). So it's possible you're missing whatever runtime for the SDK they built against.

updated nividia and its works !!!!!!!!!! nothing got to do with dx12

Having the same problem! Early access. Have windows 10 and DirectX12. Drivers updated. Still getting error message that DirectX12 not compatible. Reinstalling now. Anyone had any luck getting this fixed? Sooooo bummed!

some guy found out it is not DX12 it is DX12D3Agility, which is major update to DX12 with windows patch KB4601319

i have been not helped with this article, since i have 1809 when the requirements for DirectX 12 Agility is 1909 and above
