does VPN bypass the EA time?

EA time is for ultimate version buyers and nobody else is even allowed to play before then. The game releases globally at the exact same time anyway. Your not going to get to play earlier by changing your location.

Are you seriously confused about what a VPN can do? A VPN is not a time machine.

VPN's can mask your location to appear to be in a different location. The game goes live early access across the world at the same time. So changing your location won't matter.

You have to have an actual ultimate edition key registered to allow you in early. So it's a key thing and not a VPN thing. Hope that helps.

Ultimate edition buyers's game will be playable on Steam today, All other keys will just still say the game is locked.

With this being a global launch synced at the same time I don't believe that VPN or the "New Zealand Trick" will work in this case.

I would not announce to Steam that you fraud them by doing that if I where you. That is very much against there TOS and although they are more concerned about purchases made this way. This is still something they frown on a lot.
