You read reviews of people that you have the most common ground with and decide to buy or not from there.
Opinions and reviews are not the same. I still do not trust reviews even if I have "common ground" as you speak, because for majority I still wouldn't agree with their review.
Same as the first game and this didn't hurt my enjoyment in any way. *shrugs*
