You both need all the gear to open that door, the ring is really easy t ofind as root earth is a fixed spawn, everything in root earth is guaranteed, just look up a guide.

Was that in a patch? I did mine solo, but IIRC people were getting ferried to backrooms for a while there.

If you open the portal, then change your gear, you can't go in it. So I think that means it's not possible to open the door for someone else.

its all good, i know. we got him the archtype. i just didnt have the ashen world to get him the ring, but i already had everything we need, so all good. but thanks.

not sure what you mean, but i have opened that glitch door for randoms in public lobbies a few times. as long as they have the biome key and i have the gear there is no problem at all.

e: just to clarify, i have always kept the glitch outfit/equip on while going through the door, so idk if its different when you change gear/archtypes after you opened the door.

I mean that I went in there, ran out of time before finding all of the things, then I want back in and finished collecting the items. I put on my regular gear, and out of curiosity I checked the portal and the prompt to enter was no longer there.

Maybe it can't be entered anymore after you get everything but for me that's what happened.

You need at least 1 person there with the right gear equipped to allow access to that area. All other people can wear whatever they want.

ah ok, idk about that tbh. i havent checked the door after collecting everything, so its possible you're being locked out of it, once its done.
