Missing the hatchery

I need the flooded room event for the insulation driver amulet, but it has not spawned in Vault of the Formless or Putrid Domain. I was looking for the Hatchery but it's not present in Nerud at all. What am i missing?

N'erud is a crapshoot sometimes, reroll the world of you need to.

Not every location is guaranteed to spawn. Reroll your campaign or adventure if you don't find it and try again.

Based on how the game works, the game itself will generate whole areas proceduraly and sometimes will not have whole areas in each run. My first run I started on Losomn and got to the red prince, I re-rolled and it plopped me into Nerud and when I finally got back to Losomn the final boss for that location was not the red prince but instead this knight (not sure what his name is, but he would use giant swords and drop them on you). So chances are if you re-roll you may still not get the hatchery. Also at least in my experience, re-roll feels like it's broken and still gives me the same exact location I was in. It worked fine the first time but now it won't re-roll me to a new biom and it always plops me in nerud.

The red prince is not a final boss it's completely optional.

The "knight" can be Faelin or Faerin is the current king of the fae. This is 1 of the possible final bosses the other one being the nightweaver.

Not completely true. He is indeed not a final boss/world boss, but quest item can get locked behind him, making him mandatory to be cleared for progression for that world.
