How to challenge Faerin?

I decided to challenge Faelin at first. killed him. got the rifle as the reward. now I wanna kill Faerin as well and get the sword. the thing is I can't fight him. there's no challenge option in the dialogues. he just tells me to be gone
so what should I do instead of rerolling the campaign? I don't wanna lose progress

You can't in one run.
You have to reset your Adventure/Campaign and choose to kill him instead.
In your case, better do it in Adventure since you want to maintain your current Campaign.

You can only fight one or the other, not both. You'll have to reroll and kill the other.

They both give you a reward and both drop an item. The fight between either variant seemed identical to me so it's just fighting the same boss twice for both rewards.

Start an adventure mode, pick losomn, and while looking at the teleporter map, you need to land in the fae part of the world.
It's it's not this variant, you can reset the adventure and try again.
Then you complete the adventure and at the end you face the other one

As usual, it's roughly the same fight but with tweaks

We should be able to challenge both in the same fight for some fancy reward

If you reroll and fight the other as well take both of their sigils to nimue and you can get the one true king amulet and then take it back to the beautific or malefic palace and equip it in front of the statue and you will absolutely love the reward so it's definitely worth it to fight both
