Then the only difficulty you might find is when the boss has the spiteful or vicious ( the latter is the worse IMO) afflixes.
But in the end it's quite easy once players learn the patterns ( regardless the difficulty).
Another issue might be finding themselves to have to carry other players because they keep dying.
I helped a couple of players doing it in veteran, and in order to allow them to complete it alive I healed.
Not gonna lie, I had to use more than 70 relics in the whole fight, half of them to revive those two.
Have we wiped for like 3 hours? Yes...
But was it fun to grow at it and get used to the patterns etc? Yes!!!
Nothing is more lame than bosses dieing really quick without having to care much about real mechanics or those, that have like 0 mechanics but are bulletsponges.
Yes the endboss might be solo easier especially since you´ll always be focused, so you can get used to all the stuff happening better. But it´s fine on multiplayer aswell.
It´s the endboss of the game and should be threatened as that.
We are stuck for probably for 5-6 hours, but my point is this is not a From soft. game with no "pre-baked" difficulty options this game has four options (three at the start) by selecting veteran we were expecting a challenge, but this boss in my opinion is overscaled for Veteran (basically medium difficulty) . If we had the option to change to "Survivor" without re-rolling the world we would but we cant.
Yeah, I agree that solo is easier than coop on pretty much everything. Less damage means that you're going down less, and ressing another player is way harder than healing yourself. Latency also causes players joining to take hits than they may not have taken if everyone was playing solo.
I feel like the healer role doesn't really work on nightmare+. Healing through skills is just too slow and it's easier to just use a relic. The shield is probably the best since it lets you eat a pretty big hit (although i've heard the shield may not be enough on apocalypse), but it really only lasts long enough to help you heal with a relic. The cooldown is also too long to really make much of an impact.
