They can ban you from playing online
It’s my game, I want to grind traits
"One of the beauties of Remnant 2 is that it isn’t a live service game. We don’t charge for season passes, we don’t have micro-transactions. It’s just a pure game. People are free to mod the game, tweak the game – do whatever they want. Some of the biggest complaints people have already made mods for (like the trait cap). We don’t have an issue with any of this."

Now i just need a mod to make loadouts so I dont have to repeatedly redo all my equipment and archetypes and traits for different situations. Playing solo, then online with buddies and changing classes and traits to grab revivalist and kinship for example then going back to solo and redoing them entirely again can really be a pain in the ass to do every day.
Giving folks a toggle, or even just a "going past this point may result in less balanced gameplay" warning would have been better than requiring players to trust random strangers with additional software.
kind of bothersome.
Not a fan of trusting folks, when folks can hide something like Log4j in their backend.
They didn't though. So there's that.
I love devs that understand that their players are people who want different experiences and don't try to railroad. They have their vision and i can respect that, but these devs have never done anything tor restrict people from playing how they want. Personally I am a fan of the more people in coop mod. I hope numbers above 4 can be fixed. Would love to have a crazy session with my discord friends.
Even if it's just small tweaks. I only use the no backpack and no flashlight mods.
Dev Stance. It's like a fighting style.
Not gonna trust you, lmao. so there is that.
You don't have to. It's a simple .lua file that anybody w/ notepad++ *which is free) can open and look at exactly what it does.
It's there if people want to uncap their traits. Obviously you don't have to use it lol.
But it definitely doesn't have any malicious code in it and the mod author is fairly active in posts for the mod. I'd post the code here, but it would be rude to distribute someone's mod w/out permission like that.
You can feel however you like about mods, but acting like something is virus-ridden when it isn't is pointless fearmongering.
