you mean on Merciless? When you keep shooting you will see the weapon target / reticle slowly close its teeth. When its fully closed it will fire a shot that applies the bleed.

literally, test on the shootting range the reticle "fangs" close

You won't be able to bleed the target dummies in the shooting range. The shots apply bleeding when the fangs go inside the mouth (they not going to close).

In all fairness, it is kinda oddly phrased bcs the reticle never compresses.
