[Edit] If you reroll you still have to find the override pin during that playthrough, your pin that you have now will not transfer to the new playthrough
That gun was bad and it got a major nerf in yesterday's patch.
The worse though, it that using the gun can make your game buggy, same with the plasma cutter, beware of those.
You sacrifice the pin in the web in the shadow world, then you can trade that heart for another one at nimue.
If you want to keep both you need to do it in 2 playthroughs
Its not just bad though its REALLY bad... its an outlier on the weaker side like if nightweaver rifle does 20% more dps aphelion is 20% of the dps
