update stuck on Reserving space?

so after the first update my game is stuck on reserving space i have tried verifying the game files twice and restarted steam and my pc multiple times but i still have the issue any know any ohter way to fix this issue or do i just have to uninstall and reinstall?

That's weird then. If you have a good internet connection, it's probably fastest to just reinstall the game, BUT the same reserving space issue might occur there too.

Mine was stuck on 38% and after restarting steam it started redownloading the whole game. With my trash internet it's gonna take almost 3 hours.
Verifing files, updating gpu drivers and restarting PC doesn't help. There is no fix. The best option is to reinstall immediately.

ah will try that if it ever actually stops trying to stop my download

how long did you guys wait on 38%? mine was stuck at zero and then the time estimate went up to 1 year, then eventually it got to 38% and it jumped from that to completed in the following 10 minutes. don't know if it's just me but patience solved this and it beat having to redownload the game on slow internet.

You are running out of disc space. Steam will reserve any space that needs to be patched. Just make sure you have enough.

i have nearly 400GB free disc space?

Just for record. Same issue here, stuck on 38% and make my M.2 SSD disconnected. Move the game to another SATA SSD. Still stuck on 38%

Its not stuck. Its unpacking and installing the files. If you have limited space or a dozen other factors it could delay the process.

as i said multiple times this issue has been resolved for me and i have over 400GB free space
