Why dont you apply for the position? since you seem to know all about getting games to run smoothly
I like that this game has varied ways to play! With different archetypes to mix and match, and different guns and armors. It excites me to know that because of the randomization of worlds, everyone will (or should) find different things and different ways to play.
If you want the OP to stay unNerfed, they would have to make the enemies stronger against taht stuff, which would make them stronger against everything. Literally just changing EVERYTHING but these two guns would be such a waste of time. And again, they even confirm there is STILL A BUG involving the one gun. Its still stronger than they wanted it to be design wise.
I think this is the completely right decision to do. And they aren't saying those number changes are permanent either, its a fix until they can properly fix the real bug with it. Then they will re-balance it correctly.
You obviously don't understand here. The weapons were overperforming/absolutely dominating everything. They trivialized content on all difficulty levels and made the game a joke. So, in that regard, what is bufffing the rest of the weapons to do the same, going to do? Coach gun is my favorite shotgun, because with the right traits/rings/amulets, it effectively becomes a 2 shot sniper rifle with perfect accuracy and can hit for near 3k damage. That's 6k damage in 2 shots with the similar build of nightfall, wanna know what nightfall can do in 1 mod usage? Over 100k damage. It needed a nerf.
Are you trying to imply that fixing performance issues ISN'T as easy as changing a fire rate value on a gun? Obviously if they were competent devs they would go into their files and change the PC_Performance value from "Bad" to "Good". But they didn't, because they don't care about their community.
As someone who was using the Enigma super early, the second an Elite pooped up,. it was dead within 5 seconds of spawn. Fun? Yeah, absolutely. Overpowered? Yeah, beyond overpowered.
Devs want to kill their game for obvious reasons.
The damage came from overload and not the weapon itself.
Soo... Basically you'll have to use more ammo. Like 2-3 more ammo
Thing is, they didn't nerf anything to the ground, people just overreact. Enigma got hit with an AoE reduction and a magazine decrease, it is further being looked into because it apparently bypasses armor on enemies, hence why it hits so hard.
Nightfall got a bit of reduction to everything, but nothing that is going to make it not be people's weapon of choice still. You can still keep the mod up almost 100% of the time, which is where the weapon's strength truly lies.
