To those upset over the Enigma and Nightfall nerfs
These 2 weapons were broken at launch. Literally, they were designed in a way to have a Niche, especially the Enigma, which seems to be what people are more upset about so ill focus more on that one.
Enigma's whole design was crowd control, which it absolutely excels at, AND IT SHOULD. Not only that, but the status effect causes stagger every time it triggers.
Now, as a crowd control weapon, its pretty good, and rightfully so, thats what it is intended for. However, when it is singlehandedly the Best-In-Slot weapon for 90% of the game? 100% a nerf is warranted. "But it's a PvE game, whats the point of nerfing it, they are just dumb!" No, they have every right to do whatever they want with the gun and the game as a whole, and you want to know why? Because when they were designing the game, they had a certain vision for the game to look and play.
"If people dont want to be OP, than just dont use the gun, its that simple!!!" No, it really isnt. As someone who had the fortunate luck to find the plasma cutter on my first run without being aware that it's arguably the best Long Gun in the game, i was ecstatic to have it. Great Damage, Good ammo economy, perfect for Boss DPS...... except now i feel like im actively handicapping myself whenever i choose to not use it because i like theme on my character.
Not only that, but a lot of people, myself included, want to enjoy this game with other people, and sometimes our friends arent online so we have to play with randoms. Alright, cool, I'll just go ahead and open my game to public. Oh wonderful!!! Someone joined, i cant wait to enjoy this fight with ano- aaaand they are using the Boss-Obliterator 9000 Build.....

If you are genuinely upset over the fact that 2 BLATANTLY OVERPOWERED weapons were nerfed, one of which is LITERALLY STILL BROKEN BECAUSE IT IGNORES ARMOR, than stop playing the game and dont come back. The community likes to have laughs and say "oh this is op as ♥♥♥♥" and try out those crazy dps builds, but you come in waving around posters saying that the devs are stupid because they nerfed the 2 Best-In-Slot guns, we dont want you here. Go away and play other games, nobody is forcing you to play Remnant 2, and nobody WANTS you to play Remnant 2, because you suck the fun out of it from your screaming and crying because you cant be the player with the highest damage numbers in every situation.

Not going to read you wall of text. How about this. Maybe buff the other 90% of the s h i t weapons instead of nerfing enigma and nightfall? But the developers took the easy way out of this.

Because if you were competent you would understand that there is a certain level of Difficulty the dev's want in this game, and those 2 guns were literally broken. Deal with it

Maybe they should fix their ♥♥♥♥ performance on high tier builds before nerfing weapons a week after launch.

the fact that people don't understand this is astounding to me. Not to mention to re-balance every weapon to enigma/nightfall powerlevel sounds ridiculous if they want the game to retain any level of difficulty.

Oh, gee golly, why didnt anyone else think of that? Surely you are aware that there are separate teams typically working on a game, yes? Teams designed in ways to where they can work independently from one another? Teams regarding game development and others regarding fixing issues? gee, what was that system called again? oh yea, Separating the workload.

Why dont you apply for the position? since you seem to know all about getting games to run smoothly

The nerfs were pretty insignificant anyway. The chain doing 10% less damage isn't going to stop people from using enigma. Its still going to chew through groups of enemies.

Right on! I didnt even know they were OP weapons. One I didn't even find yet, the other (enigma) I literally didn't like the play style of.
I like that this game has varied ways to play! With different archetypes to mix and match, and different guns and armors. It excites me to know that because of the randomization of worlds, everyone will (or should) find different things and different ways to play.

If you want the OP to stay unNerfed, they would have to make the enemies stronger against taht stuff, which would make them stronger against everything. Literally just changing EVERYTHING but these two guns would be such a waste of time. And again, they even confirm there is STILL A BUG involving the one gun. Its still stronger than they wanted it to be design wise.

I think this is the completely right decision to do. And they aren't saying those number changes are permanent either, its a fix until they can properly fix the real bug with it. Then they will re-balance it correctly.

Absolutely, and people are acting like its the end of the whole planet, honestly, i hope they manage to figure out why it's ignoring armor that way its the "Get rid of the 5 million squishies so you can focus the final 3 dudes getting ready to beat your crap in" gun

You obviously don't understand here. The weapons were overperforming/absolutely dominating everything. They trivialized content on all difficulty levels and made the game a joke. So, in that regard, what is bufffing the rest of the weapons to do the same, going to do? Coach gun is my favorite shotgun, because with the right traits/rings/amulets, it effectively becomes a 2 shot sniper rifle with perfect accuracy and can hit for near 3k damage. That's 6k damage in 2 shots with the similar build of nightfall, wanna know what nightfall can do in 1 mod usage? Over 100k damage. It needed a nerf.

Are you trying to imply that fixing performance issues ISN'T as easy as changing a fire rate value on a gun? Obviously if they were competent devs they would go into their files and change the PC_Performance value from "Bad" to "Good". But they didn't, because they don't care about their community.
It also depends on how much they were nerfed. If they nerfed it to the ground, then 100% any criticism on it, is justified. If its people over reacting, then its not justified.

As someone who was using the Enigma super early, the second an Elite pooped up,. it was dead within 5 seconds of spawn. Fun? Yeah, absolutely. Overpowered? Yeah, beyond overpowered.

There is a discussion topic with the patch notes, its 100% not a even big nerf for engima. Nightfall was hit REALLY hard, but rightfully so because it was doing 100k damage, they reduced the damage of it SIGNIFICANTLY
~Lazy_Eggs~ Aug 4, 2023 @ 12:15pm
Naw, it's just a minority of people crying very loud to nerf enigma.

Devs want to kill their game for obvious reasons.

The damage came from overload and not the weapon itself.

Soo... Basically you'll have to use more ammo. Like 2-3 more ammo

Thing is, they didn't nerf anything to the ground, people just overreact. Enigma got hit with an AoE reduction and a magazine decrease, it is further being looked into because it apparently bypasses armor on enemies, hence why it hits so hard.

Nightfall got a bit of reduction to everything, but nothing that is going to make it not be people's weapon of choice still. You can still keep the mod up almost 100% of the time, which is where the weapon's strength truly lies.
