Can the crashed ship and Extraction Hub exist in the same world?

Was trying to find the Plasma Cutter weapon. I did everything leading up to actually finding the thing, and am wearing the Navigator's Helmet everywhere I go.

My main campaign world didn't seem to spawn the Crashed Ship, so I rolled adventure mode N'Erud.
Not having luck just yet.

I don't believe so. The thumpers and the ship seem mutually exclusive to each other in all of my runs. Always seems to be in the 2nd zone (Eon Vault etc) of N'erud.

Also beware that, for whatever reason, in my main campaign when I finally did get the helmet and went back, the spot where the weapon should be, was empty. I assume due to a bug, as it was a purely solo campaign.
