How to fix the random stutters in game?
I seem to get random stutters from time to time, a lot of it happens when I'm in a new area. For instance I've entered the Victorian England world and stuttering is very prominent. If anyone knows how to fix this issue it would be greatly appreciated.

For context I'm using an RTX 4090, i9-13900K 64GB RAM, Drivers updated etc.
I'm playing in 4k capped at 144fps with DLSS/Frame generation on.

Thanks in advance

Just need a better graphic card.

Kidding aside, wait for the patch.

Yeah I think that's what I gotta do. I've messed around with the settings and it still stutters sometimes.

This improved stutters a bit.

Agree with first comment. A friend of mine who is playing it and let me borrow his account to try it myself, says people should wait for updates. Refund it for now if you can and come back when (or if) they have fixed it.

It's cool. It's not so awful that I can't play it it's just quite annoying. Plus I'm addicted to this game rn lol

If you use Low graphics settings apparently this deactivates Nanite which can increase overall perf for low end systems, but increases stutters due to the game no longer being dependent on decoupled geometry layers, or something like that anyway.

Try Medium settings, as benchmarks show it has virtually no stutter at medium or higher. This is supposed to be one major benefit of UE5 - less shader comp and traversal stutter.

Where did you find these configs? Do you know how to disable mesh shaders entirely?

Word to OP: these configuration go in C/users/username/appdata/local/remnant II/saved/config

Should be a file called usergamesettings.ini

I don't think you can turn off nanite.

And stutters happen on literally any setting.

On my end it's locked 60fps but it does get random stutters. I insist on random because it's not even while moving much, something like pressing a button will make it stutter.

What fixed stutters for me was manually enabling ReBar and using the second option on the third menu (size limit)

This eliminates stutters for me and improves my lows across the board

This same fix worked for Jedi Survivor too before they officially added ReBar support for that game

I believe they made a typo. There's no such thing as i9 3900k, so I'm guessing they have a 13900k as also evidenced by 64GB RAM which is common on DDR5 platforms.

Switching from FSR to XeSS solved the stutter problem for me.

Have you tried the small software available on nexus that let's you customise settings that's baked within the game but aren't available on both in game and config files ?

Here is the link.

And the R2 - Fixes and Improvements
